STAFF ACCOUNTANT OPENING
Professional Contract Services, Inc. (PCSI) has an immediate opening for a
Staff Accountant position. This position will apply principles of accounting to review financial information, perform general ledger reconciliation, create accounting entries and assist with the preparation of financial reports. Experience desired in the areas of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, fixed assets, property taxes, state reporting and journal entries. This position will serve as backup for accounts payable and payroll. Extensive experience with reconciliation activity will be required.
Responsibilities will include general ledger reconciliation, account maintenance and data entry for financial reporting. Additional duties will include assisting with auditing vendor contracts, orders, and purchase vouchers, substantiating individual transactions prior to settlement. May establish, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. This position will perform a variety of tasks while working under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or related area
- Must have 2-5 years of experience having performed a variety of tasks in numerous areas of accounting.
- Computer skills
o Strong excel skills are a must.
o Great Plains experience is preferable.
- Must be detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be diligent, timely and accurate
