The perfect candidate will have the following qualities:
- Experience in construction accounting required
- Review and audit all subcontractor invoices for payment
- Make sure all subcontractor and vendors maintain insurance compliance
- Experience in QuickBooks Contractor a plus
- Experience in Real Estate Property Accounting a plus
- Proficiency in Excel
- Well developed ability to multi-task
- Highly motivated and a self-starter
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Dependability
- Flexibility
Job Duties primarily include:
- Job costing multiple construction/renovation projects simultaneously
- Prepare construction draws for bank
- Accounts Payable-- Review invoices and weekly check processing
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Review and process monthly financial statements
- Interface with Project Managers and Banks
- Interface with Vendors
- 1099 processing
- Prepare and reconcile year-end tax work papers for CPA
- Maintaining filing systems for properties
- Other duties as assigned by the principals of the company
