GENERAL DESCRIPTION

We seeking a qualified bookkeeper to manage the company's accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles in a small business environment.
The individual will be responsible and handle all financial transactions and record keeping for our company. The individual will record all transactions, post debits and credits, produce financial statements, and prepare reports and summaries for supervisors and managers. The individual will also prepare bank deposits by compiling data from check payments, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to the bank. The individual will also handle time tracking, prepare invoices, and keep track of overdue accounts.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Five or more years experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Job Requirements:
• Excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
• Must be proficient in using QuickBooks.
• Prepare Tax Payments including quarterly and annual tax reports & payments.
• Invoice clients bi-monthly.
• Produce Accounts Receivables Reports and make follow-up calls. Process payments by check, wire & credit card, and email receipts.
• Generate payment schedules for vendor payments. Provide assistance to vendor payment questions.
• Produce company financial statements for management's review & monthly reports.
• Prepare company deposits.
• Manage financial aspects for projects, making certain all billable items are charged to customers. Review Purchase Orders for billable items.
• Administer company expenses and petty cash.
• Manage employee benefits including vacation time, sick time, personal time, jury duty leave, bereavement, maternity leave and insurance coverage.
• Maintain ledgers and resolve credit and debit balances, refunds, adjustments and other accounting actions.
• Reconcile accounting system with registration system.
• Ensure strict confidentiality of company financial records.
• Assist in studying and analyzing accounting functions, methods and procedures, and makes recommendations concerning the feasibility of revising existing processes or adapting new technologies that will more effectively utilize the company's resources.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
