New artist group the South Austin Artist Co-op is hosting its 1st art show and a silent auction. The South Austin Artist Co-op is a newly formed non-profit association dedicated to helping artists and sharing art with the community.
The art show and silent auction is 10am to 7pm, Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th at MarketPlace Austin Westgate (6800 Westgate/at the intersection of Westgate Blvd and William Cannon).
Show details:
• South Austin Artists Co-op and invited artists will show their work from 10:00am to 7pm
• Live music on Saturday and Sunday afternoons
• Free admission (with suggested donation) for the public
• Kids can play at Locomotion’s huge indoor playroom, enjoy face-painting, ride the indoor train
• Food and door prizes offered by Marketplace Austin Westgate vendors from noon - 6pm on Saturday & Sunday.
Recently founded, the South Austin Artist Co-op, is working to establish a cooperative artist space that provides a safe and agreeable environment for artists to create and show their work, offer classes, and host art exhibits. Any donations and a portion of the silent auction proceeds will be used for the construction of a gallery space and classroom at MarketPlace Austin Westgate.
Support local artists and enjoy art and fun at the new indoor market in south Austin, the MarketPlace Austin Westgate.

A meeting is planned for Saturday, November 6 at 1pm at the marketplace (in front of Rock n Wood). A second meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 7 at 1pm for anyone who can't make it on Saturday. Email the co-op (southaustinartistcoop@gmail.com) for more information.
