Two bikes [Cannondale F6 Mountain Bike, Black with Blue lettering as shown in the picture] AND [Trek 4300, yellow] were stolen from a 2nd floor balcony at the Camden apartments on South Congress sometime between the evening of Sat. 7/12 and 2:00 PM on Sun. 7/13. The balcony faces S. Congress where there is plenty of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, so the thieves climbed up the balcony and took them in full view!! The bikes are described below. If you see them for sale or happen to see them around town, please let me know! I have the serial numbers and can confirm that they are mine. Any information would be great. The newer bike was my first mountain bike and I barely got to ride it =(

This is a barely used Dual Suspension bike. I bought it in April of 07, and rode it a handful of times that summer. (Remember it rained for like 2 months) I haven't ridden it since.
It measures as a 17.5, so probably officially an 18. I'm 5'11", and it worked out well, fit-wise.
It has LX shifters and rear derailleur,and truvativ cranks.
Avid mechanical disc brakes.
WTB wheels and saddle.
Stem, Bars, and seat post are Jamis house brand.
(The seatpost and saddle are missing in the pictures, but I have them.)
The best part is, I upgraded the fork upon purchase. It's a Marzzochi MX comp, with 120mm of travel.

I've got a set of wheels from a 1992 Bridgestone RB-2 -- they're silver 32 spoke, Araya 20A rims, with Shimano Exage 500 hubs; 126mm rear spacing with 7spd 13-23 cassette in moderate shape. They could stand to be repacked, but if you're not picky, they're fine. Reasonably true.

I need a couple of things to finish up a project I have going:

Shimano Rear Derailleur - indexed 6-7 speed - anything in good shape, but don't want anything super cheap or super bling - Acera, Alivio, STX, 200GS, Exage - also needs to be a direct mount model, which most are, not the axle mount you see among cheaper models

Alloy rear wheel - 26" - for thread-on freewheel. I would consider one with a 7 speed cassette, provided there is a cassette included with the wheel and it isn't worn out - silver rim - single wall alum just fine - bolt on or QR hub fine

I am trying to spend nothing if possible by way of trading, but I will pay cash if the deal is right. Here is a short list of stuff I have:

-new SRAM X5 27 speed trigger shifters
-new SRAM X-gen front derailleur w/ shims to fit all tube diameters
-Suntour retro-friction bar-con shifters
-Super Maxi touring triple crankset

This is a standard (17" frame, 1" tires) girl's/lady's "one owner" commuter type bike made by TREK, model 720. The bike has been ridden sparingly on the A&M campus, but would work nicely on any campus. The body is light sage green with just a few minor scratches and the 1" tires are like new. The brakes and 21 gears by Shimano work quite smoothly, and a tune up would not be required.

Comes with a $60 lady's color cordinated emerald green GIRO helmet, a 4 ft. heavy duty $20 cable lock, owner's manual, and original invoice. Total cost of bike and accessories was $450. Come try it out.

EDIT: Just to be clear, this is not one of the crappy X*Mart Schwinns. This is one of the last good ones made. Not a high end bike, no, but not junk either.

I bought this bike on CL a few days ago. Fixed a few things and got it shifting correctly, but it isn't going to work for me. A fine bike, it's just a bit too short. 17" frame and a 30" standover (I need an 18" minimum, it seems).

Comes with slicks and will make a great around town bike. I have some knobbies if you want it for mountain biking (for a few $). Fork has spring suspension. Cro mo frame. 21 speed.

2005 Diamondback Apex frame with 2003 Diamondback Apex groupo. The 20" frame on this bike is brand new, was sent as a warranty replacement on my 2003 Apex. The drivetrain needs some TLC (possibly new shifters and rear deraileur). The fork needs to be replaced and the saddle has seen better days. The frame itself has been out maybe 5 times. I work way too much to work on it and was too cheap to do the repairs at the time. This is a vintage saddle in great condition, ridden, but kept out of the weather and treated with proofide. It is nearly impossible to find this saddle in brown leather, as most were made with black leather. I think the rivets are copper, although they are heavily oxidized, so it's hard to tell. This saddle shows it's age, but not through damage or battle scars. A lot of riders are of the opinion that these saddles are better than Brooks, but I can't really tell the difference. Here's your chance to stand out at a good price.

My mom bought me a Trek Lime cruiser bicycle for graduation last year. She payed $550 dollars for it when she bought it new. It's a good bike but it's not what I need, so I'm selling it to get a different bike. It's not too heavy- the frame is aluminum. No rust. Aesthetically it's in near perfect condition except for a scrape line where the basket has rubbed the paint, but if you left the basket on it you can't see it, and even then it's not very noticable. If you don't know what this bike is and you're interested, I suggest googling it. The gears switch automatically and the tires are puncture resistant. You can change the colors of the little attachments, of which I have a blue set and a lime green set. The seat is super comfortable. I've put WAY less than 50 miles on it, so I'm asking $400 obo. I can supply better pictures if necessary, I'm just too lazy to get my camera out right now.
