One of the quickest ways to get into the healthcare field is to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. The Learning Pad Training Center has seats available currently.
This program runs on 4 consecutive Saturdays from 8am - 5pm.
You will learn the following:
Class:
ITP 101 - Introduction to Phlebotomy – 4 classroom hours
MLE 101 - Medical Law & Ethics – 4 classroom hours
APMT 101 - Anatomy, Physiology & Medical Terminology – 4 classroom hours
AIC 102 - Asepsis and Infection Control - 3 classroom hours – 1 lab hour
VEN 101 – Venipuncture – 2 classroom hours – 5 lab hours
CD 101 - Career Development – 1 classroom hour – 1 lab hour
CERT - Certification Exam Review – 3 classroom hours
Program hours - 32
After your class you will sit for the National Healthcare Certification Exam on the following date of your choice for 2008:
5/9 - 3pm (For all programs)
6/6 - 3pm (For all programs)
7/11 - 3pm (For all programs)
8/8 - 3pm (For all programs)
9/5 - 3pm (For all programs)
10/3 - 3pm (For all programs)
11/7 - 3pm (For all programs)
12/12 - 3pm (For all programs)
