I just had the greatest experience getting my company set up with a CRM system. The beginning of this year my company hired a development firm to build a CRM system for us. My first mistake was trying to go the cheaper route. After a very long search I thought I found a good company based overseas. BIG MISTAKE!!
The project ended up taking longer than they told me and then they wanted more money. They said that we were asking for things that were not in the original quote. I wouldn't have minded paying more for those things but they never once told me that what we were asking for was going to be extra. The process was long, arduous, and mentally draining. Once we did get a system to start using, it had so many bugs that we had to find someone else to rework the entire thing.
About 3 months ago I found a company here in Austin. They are Austin Software Architects. These guys not only helped with our CRM but they also knew how to do web design, multiple programming languages, and just plain customer service. Not only did they find out what we needed before they starting working they were always responsive and had a great handle on the English language. HaHa, that should be the first criteria for working with someone. They covered every question we had and explained that some of the things we were asking for didn't make sense and then made recommendations.
The guy Chris over there that we dealt with always made sure that we knew what was going on and always called me back when I called. You can find them at www.austinsoftwarearchitects.com.
I just wanted to put this out there for whoever is looking for some help. I spent so much time trying to find someone that I should have been getting paid overtime.
Hope this will help anyone else who might be in the position I was. Good luck!!
