THE ROLE<br>

To develop, survey and implement strategic sourcing within the procurement policy of Xycarb Ceramics. The Strategic Buyer’s main scope is to create a policy for raw material, semi-finished products and trade items.  In addition, outsourcing/in sourcing of services & activities MROS related goods.<br>

As a Manufacturing Engineer, person will be responsible for designing our products using computer aided design systems<br>
<br>
THE RESPONSIBILITIES <br>
·	Define and implement procurement policy, based on Xycarb’s portfolio.<br>
·	Define and implement procurement tooling to measure supplier’s performance based on reliability, quality and certification.<br>
·	Lead negotiations with strategic suppliers.<br>
·	Define and control procurement procedures.<br>
·	Provide support to various employees in negotiations with third parties.<br>
·	Investigate new potential markets and suppliers that could be beneficial to Xycarb Ceramics.<br>
·	Handle penalty and damage claims.<br>
·	Interact with ME and Sales with respect to Xycarb’s customer requirements, <br>
·	Search for new suppliers/markets<br>
·	Research, define and implement optimal logistic conditions for warehousing, transport and administration<br>
·	Interact with Operations & AQ to define requirements for outsourcing activities for Xycarb’s customer products<br>
·	Investigate, define and calculate activities to outsource on ‘plant’ based upon non-core competences and implement new logistic conditions for these areas<br>
·	Manages and communicates supplier performance through supplier scorecard.<br>
·	Negotiates with suppliers to obtain contract pricing schedule compliance, and value add services<br>
·	Take initiative in reducing material cost, managing scheduled deliveries and resolving part discrepancies. <br>

I am short on time and not as proficient with Revit as I need to be to get the job done. I have my final floor plans and my design done by hand, but I will need somebody to put my floor plans in Revit and help with construction documents if possible.  (i.e. sheet layouts, title blocks, window and door schedules, printing). <br>
Paying $10.00 per hour, but would like somebody who is fast and proficient b/c I am pressed for time. THE ROLE<br>

Purpose of position<br>
Serve as manager and lead engineer of the Facilities Design group within ITS Networking and Telecommunications. Perform telecom engineering and project management duties as well as provide assistance and technical expertise to campus. Act as point of contact for ITS portions OFPC and PMCS projects. <br>

Essential functions<br>
Manages Facilites Design group within ITS Networking and Telecommunications, coordinating projects and activities including those with UT Austin's PMCS and UT System's OFPC. Prepares and reviews specifications and design drawings as applicable for new construction/remodels and manages those projects. Participates in strategic planning, standards development, internal controls, inspections, designs and budget preparation for campus network and telecom facilities. Coordinates with outside engineers and architects for design on projects. Participates as a team member in ITS supporting its mission and policies, and guides/develops subordinates. <br>
<br>
Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident. <br>

Required qualifications<br>
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. Professional Engineering License by the TX Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. Three years experience in telecom facilities design. Three years of telecom Project Management including both design and construction phases of projects. Good written, and oral communication skills. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. <br>

This position will assist in the design of wide ranging water/wastewater treatment and piping projects.  Most projects will be for government agencies and private operations clients.  Designer is responsible for activities including technical sales support, engineering design packages, determining bills of material, and technical coordination with the project team and contractor during construction.
