Once you see him you will know why we call him Tank; they just don�t build them like this very often here in Texas. He is massive, with a perfect hip, wide chest, size 2 shoe, and good bone. He is a 15 HH, 1450 pound, 11 year old chestnut quarter horse gelding. He was bred and raised on a ranch in Montana. Even for as big as he is, Tank is gentle as can be and safe for the whole family. He is a great all-around horse, use him on the ranch during the week and take him to the rodeos on the weekends. We have been using him on our ranch for quite a while, and he is the kind of horse that does not need to be ridden everyday and doesn�t require much food to stay fat. Tank has been used for all phases of rank work, he has been roped off of extensively out in the pasture, will rope both ends, and has sorted tons of cattle. He has also packed out game (and dudes). Tank has been roped off of in the arena, both head and heels, and is just as solid as they come. He is quiet in the box, has tons of speed, and puts you right where you need to be every time. He is just as quiet after the first steer as he is the 20th steer, and after you make a run you can drop the reins and he will walk quietly. He can pull the heavy steers all day long. Tank is a pleasure to ride both out in the pasture and in the arena, LOVES to cross water and to swim, and is not spooky. He is the type of horse that if all you want to do is walk then he is happy to walk all day long, but if you ask him to trot and lope he will willingly do that as well. He has a great handle, very smooth, slow gaits, stops easily, and will correctly pick up both leads. He would be a great confidence builder horse or a teacher for an older child or a beginner roper, as he will take care of his rider and does not have any attitude or bad habits. Ameraucana Hen & Three Muscovy Ducks (Andice) $10

We're cutting back on our poultry flock as we're getting more eggs than we can possibly use.

One Ameraucana hen (green egg layer) and two Muscovy ducks (the big ones at parks who beg for bread and which have the funny red things around the beak). The Muscovy hens are "blue" (slate grey with darker heads) and "pied" (mostly black with some white). Muscovies do not quack making them relatively easy to have in town--males vocalize with a low hiss and females with chirp that sounds almost like a baby chick. They are great hatchers of their own and other poultry eggs. Their eggs are large and have a silky texture and higher protein content than hen eggs.

$10 each duck, $5 for hen or $30 for all four. Pickup in Andice area (about 10 miles north of Seward Junction (183/29)).
