I sold all my furniture before leaving Taos so all I have are my clothes, my dogs and this computer. So I'd need a furnished bedroom, but this is also not a firm requirement. I can buy a bed in time...

I moved back on a shoe-string budget and have been staying in hotels while searching for housing. I am currently in Corpus Christi at a hotel but prospects for remaining in CC are not looking good. So, I would love to return to Austin where I have so many wonderful memories.

I would prefer to live with other gay man/men who may be sharing a house, but any situation that's laid back and gay-friendly would be just fine. The most important factor for me is finding a place where my dogs will be welcomed and happy. They are my babies!

I am a quiet, respectful, and mature gentleman in need of affordable housing in Austin. Since I do not have a vehicle, it is necessary that I find a place reasonably close to Capital Metro bus service. Typically, I would only be there late at night to sleep. The next morning, I wake up, I use the bathroom, I get dressed, I leave, and I generally do not return again until late the following night. I juggle two low-paying, part-time jobs which usually occupy me all seven days of the week. (Please be aware that because of juggling these jobs, I don't have 24-hour access to the internet. So, if you e-mail me, please don't be astonished if I don't reply to your e-mail within five quick minutes of your transmitting it to me. As soon as I get back to a computer, however, I will see your e-mail and I will respond to it).

I would need a place to sleep peacefully and to keep my few personal effects which would be primarily clothing and bathroom items. Since I would obviously be using both, I would keep the room in which I sleep orderly, and I am happy to assist in keeping the bathroom in clean condition, too. As for the kitchen, I would need only a small space in the refrigerator. I don't ordinarily use the stove, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, or any other kitchen appliances, since I routinely consume meals elsewhere and keep at "home" only items like lunch meat and other types of low-cost foods which do not require the use of kitchen utensils or facilities. In fact, the little bit of trash that I do generate I habitually take with me to dispose of at one of my places of part-time employment. Access to a washer and dryer would be great, but I have been known to use laundromats in the absence of a washer and dryer.

America is currently in the worst economic condition since the "Great" Depression of the 1930's. While Texas, and Austin in particular, have not been nearly as hard-hit by the present downturn as other parts of the United States have been, nevertheless the recession does exist here. I have suffered badly from it, coupled with age discrimination (I am 47 y/o) in the job market. Being under-employed and under-salaried since the year 2002, has wreaked severe and long-lasting havoc upon my finances. The absolute maximum that I could pay right now is more or less around $300-ish per month�and that would have to include everything.

If you have (a) pet(s), I normally don't have a problem with that, unless it is a situation similar to one that I found myself in a few years ago in which the dogs barked every time the wind blew. I would keep the door to my room closed, so that the pet(s) would not venture in there and create issues. I would prefer a place which does not have what I can only think to call significant "pet odor" (or, for that matter, strong "cooking odor") permeating the living quarters.

Peace and quiet are VERY important to me. I detest drama and hate surprises. I hope to find something with some semblance of permanence to it as I loathe being up-rooted. Also, I am a non-smoker. If you smoke�and do so outside�that is certainly OK with me.

I have no history of "doing drugs." I rarely partake of alcohol. I have no criminal convictions. I am a somewhat historic figure and occasionally find references to myself in books, law review articles, and other documents, relative to the unusual ratification of the United States Constitution's 27th Amendment. I look forward to your response including�within the text of your response�such relevant details as where the property is located, what the rental rate would be, and what the over-all living arrangements would be.

I can provide references as to employment verification, as to rental history, and as to my personal character. I am looking at on, or about, December 1st as the target move-in date.

I came up here at the urging of family members, after a bad break-up in Arizona (where I was living), and it's turned out to be one of the worst situations I could have gotten myself into. I'm a freelance writer who DOES work online, but the hours are very part-time, and I have not been able to catch up or get ahead since getting here.

Well I'm quite independent and responsible. I taught English in Japan from 2007-2008 to kids ages 2-16 and had a lot of fun. After that I went to college here in Canada. I am a quiet, respectful, and mature gentleman in need of affordable housing in Austin. Since I do not have a vehicle, it is necessary that I find a place reasonably close to Capital Metro bus service. Typically, I would only be there late at night to sleep. The next morning, I wake up, I use the bathroom, I get dressed, I leave, and I generally do not return again until late the following night. I juggle two low-paying, part-time jobs which usually occupy me all seven days of the week. (Please be aware that because of juggling these jobs, I don't have 24-hour access to the internet. So, if you e-mail me, please don't be astonished if I don't reply to your e-mail within five quick minutes of your transmitting it to me. As soon as I get back to a computer, however, I will see your e-mail and I will respond to it).

I would need a place to sleep peacefully and to keep my few personal effects which would be primarily clothing and bathroom items. Since I would obviously be using both, I would keep the room in which I sleep orderly, and I am happy to assist in keeping the bathroom in clean condition, too. As for the kitchen, I would need only a small space in the refrigerator. I don't ordinarily use the stove, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, or any other kitchen appliances, since I routinely consume meals elsewhere and keep at "home" only items like lunch meat and other types of low-cost foods which do not require the use of kitchen utensils or facilities. In fact, the little bit of trash that I do generate I habitually take with me to dispose of at one of my places of part-time employment. Access to a washer and dryer would be great, but I have been known to use laundromats in the absence of a washer and dryer.

America is currently in the worst economic condition since the "Great" Depression of the 1930's. While Texas, and Austin in particular, have not been nearly as hard-hit by the present downturn as other parts of the United States have been, nevertheless the recession does exist here. I have suffered badly from it, coupled with age discrimination (I am 47 y/o) in the job market. Being under-employed and under-salaried since the year 2002, has wreaked severe and long-lasting havoc upon my finances. The absolute maximum that I could pay right now is more or less around $300-ish per month�and that would have to include everything.

If you have (a) pet(s), I normally don't have a problem with that, unless it is a situation similar to one that I found myself in a few years ago in which the dogs barked every time the wind blew. I would keep the door to my room closed, so that the pet(s) would not venture in there and create issues. I would prefer a place which does not have what I can only think to call "pet odor" (or, for that matter, strong "cooking odor") permeating the living quarters.

Peace and quiet are VERY important to me. I detest drama and hate surprises. I hope to find something with some semblance of permanence to it as I loathe being up-rooted. Also, I am a non-smoker. If you smoke�and do so outside�that is certainly OK with me.

I have no history of "doing drugs." I rarely partake of alcohol. I have no criminal convictions. I am a somewhat historic figure and occasionally find references to myself in books, law review articles, and other documents, relative to the unusual ratification of the United States Constitution's 27th Amendment.
