no, you are not he, and i am not she. but, i wish you peace in your heart. i thought the longing would never cease, but, finally, after 10 months i can wake up in the morning and actually look forward to the day again. i, too, know about keeping one's head above water, although maybe not in the same sense as you. time is a great healer. at least, after a while, the pain is more manageable. with the support of good friends and a positive attitude (although he thought that is something i lacked), it is possible to get air-borne again. so i'm tentatively flying again, just not as high, or as fast, and, getting re-acquainted with myself. who of us knows what the future holds? they say when one door closes, another opens. i am thinking.maybe, just maybe, you have to knock before it does, but this is the modern age, and we do have automatic doors now, don't we? maybe just not for the heart. all things in due time.

what i do know is that he took me through the whole spectrum of emotions-the good, the bad, the ugly, and...the beautiful! and in my heart of hearts, i do believe that he is a wonderful person, and that the world is a nicer place because he is in it. yes, that treadmill is exhausting. i was on it too long. my advice, get off and start running on solid ground. at least that way you get somewhere else, and... the scenery changes, and who is to say, that you won't run right by her again. maybe you'll just want to wave and keep on going. maybe not.

i don't know, we are all so different, but also all the same, questing for love. how DO you mend a broken heart?

You came into REI on Thursday with your bike, and carefully set it up against the wall and made sure it wouldn�t fall over on some unsuspecting customer (you�re probably really considerate and polite like that). You had a bunch of stuff in your hand that you were returning, some zip-ties and other things. You looked a bit young, perhaps, but you had a beard, so at least you�re old enough to grow hair on your face, AND you ride your bike so I�m willing to look past this possibility.
I was standing in line at the check out wearing lots of purple. I tried to win you over with my �charming smile�, but I have reason to believe it didn�t work, as I am often really awkward and probably made some strange face at you.
Anyway, lets go on a bike ride, I just so happened to be buying a new tube for my tire.
