Ramsey is available for adoption through Jack's Angels. However, he's sponsored by Barking Hound Village and is available for visitation 7 days a week, during their hours of business. Please call ahead at (512) 477-3647 before stopping by.
Ramsey is a Chihuahua, Jack Russell Terrier mix. He was born (approximately) September 13, 2004, making him 3 years old. He weighs 13lbs 4oz, full grown. Ramsey has a solid redfawn coat and glowing yellow/green eyes.
Ramsey was a stray picked up by Round Rock, TX animal control. His outgoing, friendly disposition caught the eye of a rescue organization that "tagged" him, committing to take him once his stray hold days were up. His owner didn't reclaim him and the rescue group that was going to take him decided to take another dog. The shelter was full so Ramsey was slated for euthanasia. While at the shelter, picking up another dog, Ramsey caught one of our volunteer's eyes. We knew he was an adoptable dog and, given the chance, would find a great home.
Ramsey has a super friendly disposition with everyone he meets, children included. He is outgoing, affectionate, and adventurous. He plays nicely with other dogs of all sizes and gets along well with kitties. Ramsey is a very smart, agile, and eager to please pup. He does, however, find it very tempting to "mark" over other males in the household. With some training, consistancy, and maybe a belly band, he can be housebroken. He is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and loves car rides. He is active when excited and for outdoor activities. This pint-sized pup would make a great jogging, hiking, or camping partner. However, he also has a calm side and loves to snuggle.
Ramsey has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. He is heartworm negative and given monthly preventive. To help cover his medical expenses, an adoption fee of $150.00 will be required for his adoption.
