Ok points taken, my party sucks to, I can't stand progressives or Liberals, believe it or not I'm no Liberal, Liberals are more about socialism and gun control.
They hurt my party just like the birthers and ignorant hillbilly bible thumpers hurt yours.
I would never allow them to take my party hostage in those regards, I would jump ship first.
That's why the moderates in control of the Dems would never go after gun rights.They know how fast gun owning moderates like me would jump ship.
Lets not forget that dems represent the police unions that want more gun control, also most police officers are Republicans, go figure.
On abortion I'm not for abortion , I'm for the right to choose, As I have said before (as brutal as it may sound)aren't there acceptable losses of life to maintain our freedoms?

There are inncocent deaths that occur due to our right to bear arms and there are senseless deaths that occur due to abortions, it's a freedom thing with me.
Its a slippery slop and a line drawn in the sand, your party is willing to cross that line drawn in the sand and sacrifice freedoms for government interference nin regards to a womans right to choose, you just dont realize how slippery that slop would be if we allowed Government to make personla choices like that, or perhaps yopu refuse to consider what we would be sacrificing if we relenquished that choice,
