The Current Events – The National Newspaper for Kids is seeking telemarketing agents in numerous states across the U.S.. The Current Events is a supplemental tool that is used in the classroom by Social Studies, Science, and English teachers. Our newspaper was created by a Social Studies teacher in 1999 as a tool to enhance textbook learning. The Current Events is printed in three different reading levels and is equipped with teacher’s guides, activity sheets, critical thinking questions and vocabulary catered to each reading level. There are no advertisements in the newspaper, so all revenue is generated from subscriptions.
Since 1999, we have accumulated over 50,000 readers, from word-of-mouth alone. In an effort to have The Current Events read by thousands more children across the country, The Current Events is seeking telemarketing agents who will cold call schools across the nation and inform them about our educational newspaper. Positions are available immediately. Candidates must be able to work a set schedule of Monday-Thursday from 10AM-4PM, set up appointments for face-to-face presentations and generate leads. This is a commission only position offering 10%. Training will be provided.
