1. You are between the ages of 25 and 35. If you are younger than 25 you behave like a 25 year old. You have a place you live, a way to commute around town, mommy & daddy are not paying your rent. You could potentially be over 35 too if you are young at heart and don't mind our 'generational 1/2 gap'
2. You are interested only in something platonic. You are either a straight girl, a gay man, or you are in a relationship (that you have no interest in leaving). I am not interested in hanging out with single men or single lesbians that want in my pants. I'm not that full of myself, I'm just aware that this craigslist. You should also know I am in a committed relationship.
3. You take care of yourself. Because this is the internet I feel safe in saying- I am not interested in being friends with anyone who doesn't take care of themselves. What I mean is you are not a drug addict, you shower, and you are not 40 lbs overweight. 4. You are not super religious or super conservative. I'm not saying this for my sake, I'm saying it for yours. I'm a leftie & I'm a lesbian so you have to be cool with both. If you don't mind either than I don't mind you! I do not care about race, religion, sexually orientation, political affiliation. Good people come from all walks of life in many different forms. Just be a good respectful person
5. You enjoy many things. I enjoy many things. But here's some of my favorites: I like coffee, movies at the alamo, live music, photography, board games, walking my dog, eating new/exotic/fancy food. Sometimes I enjoy sitting at the bar on a Saturday night and being a little judgmental of the people around me. Not in a mean way, just a grandma like way "OMG DID YOU SEE HOW SHORT THAT DRESS WAS?" Sometimes I like sitting home on a Saturday night and watching crime dramas. Whatever, not exactly a glamorous life, but I do alright.
6. You are capable of writing me a coherent email in which sentences are punctuated and every other letter is not capitalized. I'm not a grammar natzi, nor an english teacher, but I really don't appreciate having to decipher emails.
7. You actually intend upon meeting up. I am not interested in wasting my time corresponding for weeks or pic swapping or whatever it is that people do on craigslist when they are bored. I am looking for new friendships, as in real life!
8. You are flexible about what we do. I don't mind grabbing a glass of wine, or meeting up in your area of town. But sometimes I'd like to grab coffee instead or meet half way in between. My life does not revolve around you and yours does not revolve around me. Creepy co-dependent types feel free to hit the back button now.
9. You found humor in this ad. And can find my sarcasm, wit, and honesty to be refreshing- not depressing. Maybe you even chuckled once or twice ?
10. You were able to read this entire list & not find me to be completely crazy. Dharma is the "nom de plume" of an Austin photographer.

The project consists of close-up environmental portraits of young men ages roughly 18-30. The long term goal of the project is to create and publish a book; a more immediate goal is to produce a slide show for Slideluck Potshow shows.

While there will NOT be any suggestion of sexual orientation in the book, the slide show may be combined with music that is gay themed or that may imply "gay-ness" so consider this before replying.

He would require about an hour or two of your time after meeting you in a public place. You will be asked to sign a model release. The exact location will vary and he may ask you for some suggestions.

Participants in this study will be asked to sit down with me for one interview lasting between sixty and seventy-five minutes. All personal information acquired during the interview process is strictly for research purposes and will not be used in any other way. This study is completely voluntary, and participants can opt out of answering any questions or withdraw from the study at any time. Getting involved in this research project is an excellent opportunity for lesbian survivors to tell their personal stories and to help get the word out about the existence and severity of these types of abuse.
