I'm a 28, black, male, 4yr degree, employed, a place to stay, car to drive, love God (not a fanatic), and respectful.
I've reached a point in my life where I'm looking for something, but I don't see it anywhere in sight. I was
married, but now I'm divorced, and I've been so for quite sometime now. I was looking for someone that was in
shape, loved life, pretty smile, educated, respectful, appreciative, honest, ooh, the list could go on and on.
The last women I talked to wanted me to act out, and throw tantrums just so she would know that I loved her -
not my style; If I tell you, and show, and you still the get the message; there are other issues, but it's not me.
I don't even mind dating a women with children (just make sure they are taken care of first) - if you mom is
raising them, that's a problem for me; you had it, you take care of them. Where are the women with their priorities
in order; Not buying GUCCI purses, and your rent is due; or buying leather pumps when your son needs diapers, but
getting mad at the no-good baby's daddy-calling him a dog when you are the one who went looking for a good man
at the dog pound!

Hey what's up.

I'm 31. I'm attractive, have great friends, a succesfull business, and yet Ithere's something really wrong. I have negative thoughts that completely overwhelm me. Sometimes it's so bad I have a hard time getting out of bed. Sometimes I'm so anxious I have a hard time getting in bed. On the surface my life is great, but inside my head it's a mess that never ends.

It's really weird. I can't stop playing the negative thoughts over and over again. For example, there could be something trivial that's worrying me - like I mailed a check to pay a bill and it hasn't cleared my account yet. It will be all I can think about. Why didn't the check arrive? Did it get lost in the mail? Am I going to have a late fee becuase the payment wasn't proccessed in time. I'll wake up thinking about it. There's no relation to how serious something actually is compared to how much worry it causes me.

The doctor put me on lexapro. What a weird drug. I've been on it for just over a week now. I can't tell if it's helping or hurting.

I'm interested in meeting someone whose going through something similar. Need a person to grab coffee with, talk to ect. A little bit else about me other than the depression/anxiety. I run 20 plus miles a week, but havn't run once since I got on the lexapro, I don't smoke and don't drink but don't mind if you do. If I didn't tell you I was depressed you would probably never no. None of my friends do.

Please don't email me if you just want to say you're sorry I've been feeling this way, or things will get better, or you should try xyz. Hi, I'm a GWM relocating to Austin ... THIS week, actually ... and was hoping to find out more about the city and what it has to offer by making some FRIENDS. Any race, gender, orientation, religion - it's all good, so long as you can carry a conversation, like hanging out, and like to laugh.

I'm a former stand-up comic who has also done some acting, now a writer who makes his living (mostly) from writing erotic fiction. I'm relocating from the midwest for a better, more creative climate (not to mention warmer), and my only real concern is that I have been living in big cities long enough, I don't own a car (and I have hear public transit in Austin is so-so, depending on where you live).

Seeking some people who know what the word "Friend" really means; people who like to chat on the phone or get together to hang out or do something, as opposed to living there live online. The move represents a real new start for me; I'd like to be able to have some friends to play games, see a film, or just hang out in a pub or coffee shop with, and get to know. I think I am pretty cool to hang with - I have a sarcastic, funny as hell (I've been told) sense of humor, complete with a lot of one-liners and phrases that catch people off guard. I'm also a HUGE film buff (old and new, domestic and foreign - everything), and am fairly outspoken but also tractful; I don't believe in hurting people or being mean.

I've purposefully left my age off, as to me that's never been a factor in having friends - but if that's a huge factor for you, yes I am over 35. And I am, for the record, seeking ONLY friends; not a date, or casual sex, or anything like that. I want to start writing a feature-length screenplay that I could shoot next year. I already have a story idea. But I'm a big believer and fan of creative collaboration; two heads are better than one. So I'm looking for a screenwriting partner. I'm not interested in anything other than a working relationship and maybe a casual friendship. The story focuses on emotion rather than action, and it centers around two female main characters and women's issues. Even though the rainy season here in Bisbee is exciting( rain down pours, loud thunder echos in the mountains surrounding the town and temperature dropps afterwards) there are little "no seeums" bugs invading the town by then and in many cases (like myself) causing such itching, oozing sores and blistering, that I found myself in the ER with severe allergy reactions last July.

I visulize giving art classes to supplement my pension and have also been very sucessful with care giving for the elderly. (Lakeway)
Mine is the case of realizing what I gave up after I moved here.

I'm new to Austin and TX in general. I moved to SA a little over a year ago and finally made my way to Austin about six weeks ago. I am singer/guitarist/biker looking for another guitarist to play music with and go on rides with. I used to play in bands a long time ago and after a 5 year loss of sanity I'm in the process of shaking off some serious rust. Meanwhile I ride my motorcycle as much as i can.

The material I've been working on lately since I've forgotten most of the songs I used to know are by Chris Cornell (ala solo/Soundgarden/Audioslave), The Black Crowes, Joan Osborne, Amy Ray (Indigo Girls). Basically I'm re-vamping my repertoire to something more contemporary. I'm not a big fan of the classic coffee house songs. I like doing different stuff. Initially I'd just like to play some music, but if something comes together playing out would be ideal.

I ride a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom that I've put 15k miles on in the last year riding the Hill Country while I was living in San Antonio.

I should have been born in a different era. Ideally it would have been the 1960's dancing to the 13th Floor Elevators spinning with Edie Sedgwick in a drunken stupor. I can't help but dance when I hear a catchy tune or a great Motown hit. It even goes in hand with making mixes for long road trips in some old rental car. I'm in a loveless, sexless marriage because I love my children and would never want to hurt them.
