Hello,

I have a BIG room with windows on both outside walls that is up for subletting during the summer. I will be traveling to Portland, Oregon and the tentative departure dates are leaving June 10th, returning August 15th. Dates are negotiable slightly as I can either move into the living room or find other accommodations for a brief time.

The neighborhood is quiet and safe (there is a fire station right down the block, so sirens are heard at least once a night typically). Accessible to everything (Fiesta, HEB, UT, Mini Mart, Patterson Park, freeways). The bus stops a short 3-4 minute walk from the house and you can make it to the convenience store in 2 minutes if you cut through the backyard.

The front is xeriscaped and there is a vegetable garden on the side that should be producing great while I'm gone. There's another roommate and her 6 year old child (very calm, cute and well behaved). The kitchen is large and the pantry space great as well. No cable TV-but a vast library of books.

The house is amazing, it's furnished and the backyard is a great place to hang out in the hammock.

I'm subleasing my room in a 2/2 at Duval Villa Apartments. The room will be available May 13th and the apartment is fully furnished (or if you'd like the bedroom unfurnished, that's possible too). Rent is $500/month (usually $615/month but I'm posting this pretty late...) and utilities were around $35-40/month. There is a pet deposit and it's $400 so probably not the best option if you have a pet. Some people think the apartment's too far from campus but I lived there a semester without a car. The 7 bus can take you to the UT campus and downtown, the IF bus is also nearby, and so is the 338 which goes to HEB, Central Market, and Whole Foods. Also, a lot of people ride their bike on Duval, it's about 10-15 minutes by bike to campus. And it's a 30 minute walk to UT (nice to do at night). There's a tennis court nearby and a pool at the complex. No one will be living in the other room.
