I. Purpose of the Position
• Performs required work for a wide range of exchange operations, including the installation, maintenance, and provisioning of voice, data, and integrated access CPE, facilities, cabling, terminals, company interface devices, and related equipment. • Perform all duties essential to the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, monitoring and repair of all fiber optic transmission systems (FOTS), multiplexing equipment, cabling, circuits, etc.
• Provide accurate and timely documentation on all circuit records, equipment inventory, spares and assigned projects.
• Install and maintain Channel Banks and VoIP IAD’s at customer premise.
• Install and maintain ADSL, SHDSL, and HDSL2-based CPE at the customer premise.
• Test and troubleshoot DS0, DSL, DS1, DS3 and Optical circuits.
• Maintain switch and transport equipment.
• Test and turn up circuits in optical DACS and fiber optic terminals.

• Maintain integrity of the network via accurate files, inventory, and PM records on all equipment (DWDM, SONET, DC Power Plants, etc.).
• Work with engineering to install and turn up network equipment as outlined in network expansion/augmentation or network maintenance projects.
• Requires the ability to interface with contractors and building management providing regular updates to Company Operations management.
• Reports disposition of trouble tickets to the service center, maintains time sheets, vehicle records, and other required reports
