This is in a great location just east of the South Congress and Travis Heights area, about 2 miles from downtown, and also very close to the airport if you are flying into Austin (ask if we can arrange for pick-up/drop-off & save the cost of a shuttle or taxi).
Experienced travelers and people who know Austin appreciate finding this central location with very reasonable rates. Being just off of I-35 makes it is easy to reach downtown, UT, anything in the central Austin area. Get around by car, or use the city bus routes, which are a short walk away. You'll be in a pleasant, quiet spot, and have a place furnished well for visits of just a few days, a few weeks, a month, or more.

This property is located at the original ferry landing site for Lake Travis – Lohman’s Crossing. It was a fishing camp in the 1950s-1970s. Lakeway Park is within a mile of this charming retreat along with Lakeway Resort, golf, and tennis close by. On two scenic acres, we have over 500’ of shoreline waterfront and the fishing is excellent!
When the lake levels are low, boats on trailers can be launched from the site with a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We have a boat dock as well.
The main house has two large outside bars, including a covered 1,200 sq. ft. rooftop lake view recreational area for entertaining. There is a king sized bed in the bedroom and a futon and reclining sofa in the family room. Along with a full kitchen, this suite accommodates 4 comfortably.
The upstairs yellow suite sometimes referred to as the “honeymoon suite” has a bedroom with a king sized bed and family room with a futon. This suite accommodates 4, with a half kitchen. The deck off the living area is quite large with sitting areas and a hammock.
The ground floor coral cabin has a queen sized bed with a futon in the living area, with a kitchenette/mini-fridge and sitting porch. This suite also accommodates 4.
All of the units have central heat/air along with cable TV, DVD players and wireless internet service. There is a washer/dryer and an extra oven/stovetop in the utility room, just beside the coral suite.
All 3 of the units have one full bathroom.

Really lovely and very convenient to the Lake~ we kayaked, ran the trail~ we're runners and loved all the excellent food and music Austin has to offer. Kathy and George took such good care of us~ from where to shop for groceries, to good local eateries, and where the best farmers markets are. We highly recommend both the home and the owners.

While we stayed for only a long weekend, this was one of the best rental experiences I've ever had. House is clean, spacious and well decorated (claw foot tub, hello!) and the owners make sure to have certain necessities on hand (iron, hair dryer, towels). The location is great, too, just minutes from downtown. We will definitely stay here again!
I spent six weeks at this rental property in mid-winter with my five-year-old son, partner, and small dog. We had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable and clean, with great character and light. The kitchen is fantastic, lots of modern amenities. I loved the neighborhood, especially Natural Foods just a few blocks down (vegetarian cafe). I cannot stress enough how great the owners are: thoughtful, friendly, helpful, honest, and excited to show off a city they love to new people. (I did not know them before our stay.) They made our Austin visit an especially great experience. We hope to return as soon as possible. And the agave plant in the front yard is terrific.

I stayed here for 2 nights with a party of 6, we had a great time. Its a great open layout, super clean and updated quite nicely for an older home. I would highly reccommend this property There are also a few cute little shops and a hair salon right next door!
I came to Austin with 5 students for the Clinton Global Initiative University. A hotel was out of our budget and we are so grateful we found the Eastside Inn. It was cozier, more elegant, more refreshing than a hotel and far more affordable! And Kathy could not have been sweeter, true Texan hospitality. There are two beds and a futon and while we didn't need a blow up mattress, it made the sleeping arrangements more comfortable. She brought one over the moment we asked. If you are heading to Austin, skip the hotel and stay at the Eastside Inn. Oh, and if you cook....the kitchen is dynamite. Thanks Kathy!

This property is located at the original ferry landing site for Lake Travis – Lohman’s Crossing. It was a fishing camp in the 1950s-1970s. Lakeway Park is within a mile of this charming retreat along with Lakeway Resort, golf, and tennis close by. On two scenic acres, we have over 500’ of shoreline waterfront and the fishing is excellent!
When the lake levels are low, boats on trailers can be launched from the site with a 4 wheel drive vehicle. We have a boat dock as well.
The main house has two large outside bars, including a covered 1,200 sq. ft. rooftop lake view recreational area for entertaining. There is a king sized bed in the bedroom and a futon and reclining sofa in the family room. Along with a full kitchen, this suite accommodates 4 comfortably.
The upstairs yellow suite sometimes referred to as the “honeymoon suite” has a bedroom with a king sized bed and family room with a futon. This suite accommodates 4, with a half kitchen. The deck off the living area is quite large with sitting areas and a hammock.
The ground floor coral cabin has a queen sized bed with a futon in the living area, with a kitchenette/mini-fridge and sitting porch. This suite also accommodates 4.
All of the units have central heat/air along with cable TV, DVD players and wireless internet service. There is a washer/dryer and an extra oven/stovetop in the utility room, just beside the coral suite.
All 3 of the units have one full bathroom.
