HELLO! PROJECT: CARE CASE will be having it's first annual suitcase drive/rummage sale on Saturday, Nov 7 between the times of 9 a.m. thru 2 p.m. at THE FELLOWSHIP at 3379 Gattis School Road.

When children first arrive into foster care, they may not have any personal belongings. Or, what little they do have is carried around with them, often times, in a plastic grocery or trash bag. And, if they are in multiple foster placements, they may only have a trash bag to carry their belongings in.

How do I know this? I was once a foster child. I remember vividly not having anything to call my very own. We have fostered and adopted over the last few years. In most, cases children arrive at their foster placement in the same way.

It is our privilege to be able to continue helping children in foster care. PROJECT: CARE CASE was put into place to see that a child has something(s) of their very own. A PERSONALIZED and age appropriate suitcase on wheels.

Our rummage sale's proceeds will go directly towards purchasing "care cases" for kids currently in care. We will continue to help facilitate the needs of future children in care, too.

Please come to our rummage sale. Or, you may feel moved to donate a small to medium sized suitcase on wheels. They do NOT have to be brand new. Just VERY gently worn. Once we get the suitcases, we will go about getting the children's names put on them. We also need NEW pillows and blankets. That way if they are in multiple placements, they have something of comfort to take with them. Please go to http://www.projectcarecase.org to view our mission. We will also be accepting other contributions on Saturday. Please see Connie Bellows.

PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS DAY A HUGE SUCCESS. With over 200 children in foster care, there is a large need to fill. For any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact me(Connie Bellows) at 512.852.9276. I look forward to hearing from you. PLEASE only serious need reply.
