Austin Pets Alive!, a revitalized non-profit organization committed to serving our communitys homeless and abandoned pets, is looking for motivated volunteers to help reach its goal of making Austin a No-Kill city.
Specific duties to include:
Receives pet foster requests, determines level needed, contacts foster home or redirects to Foster Communication Liaison
Reviews foster applications
Checks references
Approves/disapproves applications, assigns level clearance, consults w/ Medical and Behavioral depts. if needed
Performs weekly or monthly foster training classes to obtain higher clearance fosters
Reviews received weekly updates
Act as liaison between Medical and Behavioral if needed
Determines if a home visit is needed; makes visit or delegates to foster volunteer
Enters pet and foster home data into PetPoint software
Maintains files, applications and agreements
Maintains records of which pets are available for adoption and when
Supplies weekly list to Foster Adoption Liaison of which pets are available for off-site adoption
Ensures timely entrance into adoption program
