This position is for a senior web designer who will build highly-targeted microsites and landing pages for a range of online marketing efforts. Applicants must be web designers with in-house or agency design experience.

Brightfire is a Austin-based startup providing technology, marketing and operations expertise to online marketers. We work with a small number of clients to deliver outstanding services and incredible results. More importantly, we make sure that we enjoy our work and have fun doing it.

The successful candidate will need to work with our marketers and engineers to build compelling, engaging and attractive web pages that effectively convert email, web and search traffic into actions. This position will design the logo, look and feel, layout of content, navigation and select images for each site in addition to generating the basic HTML and CSS to hand to the implementation team.

Job includes an excellent salary, 4 weeks of paid vacation and health/dental coverage with no employee contribution. This is not a contract position and we will only consider candidates in the Austin area for full time employment. Agencies and firms will not receive any consideration.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years in-house or agency design experience
• 1-2 years markup experience (HTML/CSS)
• Experience in building and optimizing websites for online marketing
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe CS suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks)
• A strong sense of aesthetics combined with an ability to find what works
• Motivation as a self-starter who is able to work in a fast-paced environment
• A desire to work closely with your peers in a highly interactive and engaging office
