Experienced (3-5 years) freelance web content writer needed on a half- to full-time basis for an elite and discriminating Internet marketing company. Supervisory experience a plus. This is a very competitive contract position (telecommute). English must be your primary language.
Ideal candidate has a broad expanse of writing experience in online markets with proven abilities to craft consistently top-notch copy, as well as meet deadlines, if need-be. Skills must already be honed sharp. Knowledge of Internet Marketing strategies and trends, traffic and link-building, social media networking and SEO preferred.
We expect all eligible candidates to be able to provide a prompt selection of writing samples, a professional resume with cover letter, professional references, and be available for a phone interview. Non-Disclosure Agreement is required.
Again, you must be able to consistently deliver top-quality web content writing and related services that meet this client’s high expectations. This includes:
Writing and Editing:
Search engine optimized web copy for large and medium-sized websites
Quality revision of the same as necessary
Nimble with a diverse array of online copy and content formats: “link-bait,” press releases, SEO webpage content, blogs, landing pages, and email messages
Engaging “feature” style copywriting for link- and trust-building (link-bait), including ability to conduct intensive internet research, knowledge of current styles for formal and informal citation, and other industry style norms
Keyword-optimized webpage Title and Description meta tags
Ability to Edit all of the above with an eye for detail
Web Content Services:
Assist with content development and site maps
Ability to forge and sustain “social” relationships with others for trust- and traffic-building
Knowledge of email marketing best practices
Excellent (professional) communication skills
Ability to conduct keyword research as needed
Ability to conduct intensive Internet research
Ability to lay-out copy and content in HTML
Ability to create and maintain various databases, shared documents
Knowledge of current web writing styles and conventions, current style guidelines, citation formats, etc.
Familiarity with Dreamweaver, FTP, and site development, a plus
