Whirlpool duet dryer that is approximately 20 years old. We have never once had a problem with it before today. Midcycle, my wife heard a “clunk” and the dryer stopped spinning. The drum turns with little or no resistance. It sounds to me like this is a drive belt issue which can be replaced for a few dollars. I’d rather just buy a new dryer to match our recently replaced washer. But this is a great deal for someone who’s handy.
