I had to cut electrical cord and send picture of it cut to get recall settlement, So you will need to splice cord back together...I was told by a non licensed electrician handyman to use 3 wago connectors and a junction box probably but you are on your own about this and I offer no warranty in this area...I am not an electrician! So you will have to mend the ac cord. Sorry but air conditioner has no warranty due to the rebate.
