* BRAND / Manufacturer: Hammersley & Co. The Hammersley pottery was founded in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, in 1862 by John Hammersley and his brother-in-law, John Shaw. They quickly gained recognition for their high-quality porcelain and intricate designs. In 1932, Hammersley & Co was incorporated as Hammersley and Co (Longton) Ltd. They would continue as such until 1966, when they sold out to Copeland – who were in partnership with Spode – in 1966.
