condition: good
make / manufacturer: Fisher
model name / number: Grandpa Bear
I removed this wood burning stove from a local mobile home (it had to be removed as it was not permitted to be used for a mobile home application per insurance). As far as I have been able to tell, as there are no model identification marks on the stove, this is a Fischer branded wood stove, model: Grandpa Bear. The stove dates back to sometime in the 1970's.

Specifications I found online that match the stove are as such:

Width: 29 1/2" across top plate.
Depth: 30 1/2" overall with ash fender (shelf)
Approx. weight 454 pounds
Logs to 24" across stove
Heats approx. 2000 s.f.
Requires 6 bricks across back, 4 sides
Flue size 8 inch rear
Door opening ; 22" wide X 11" high

There is a slight amount of surface rust that has developed on the body, as it is currently stored in a barn. A few of the fire bricks are cracked, and may need to be changed. Other than that, a little cleanup and a re-blacking, and the stove will be ready to be installed for next winter.

I'll include the stove pipes, chimney stack, and other components that were removed. They may or may not be usable, depending on your installation situation.

The stove is currently mounted on a furniture dolly for mobility, which makes it easier to move, but not by much.

This thing is HEAVY.

If you intend to purchase, you will likely need either a tilt trailer or a truck with a lift gate to pick it up. You'll also need a good bit of help. It is rather awkward to maneuver and, as per the specs, weights over 450 lbs. Lifting it straight up into the bed of a truck is pretty much out of the question, and it would not likely roll up ramps (eg. 4-wheeler or tractor ramps). So take this into account before you make an offer.

I've found a few of these online priced from $2500 up to $4000 (some are refurbished, which may be why the price is a bit higher). I've lowered my price to reflect the fact that the stove will need a little TLC to back to like-new condition.

I'm willing to accept reasonable offers, but anything far to low will be rejected.

Payment in the form of cash or Venmo only. No checks, money order, cashiers checks, trades, or crypto.

Buyer is responsible for loading and conveying item upon purchase.
