make / manufacturer: Lumophon
model name / number: WD 320 II
size / dimensions: 19x15x11
Rare 92 year-old Lumophon tombstone-style radio. Pre-World War II German built radio has dozens of cities marked on the tuning dial rather than just numbers. This was possible since most cities back then only had one radio station. Paris was one of the only cities to have two, both of which were able to be tuned in on this radio.p

Some other cities and countries represented on the dial include Paris, France. Oslo, Norway, Hamburg, Germany. Prague, Switzerland, Rome, Italy, Europe, Copenhagen, Denmark, Frankfurt, Nürnberg, Bordeaux, Berlin, Stockholm, Sweden, Venice, Florence, Budapest, Warsaw, Luxembourg, Brussels, Belgium, and others. Most likely much of WW2 was broadcasted live across the speaker. Great history piece. Great conversation piece.

Has a European plug, Don’t know if it would work if plugged in. Looks like all of the parts are there but I doubt it would work due to the age of it. Sometime after World War II, this radio came to the United States with German settlers who landed in Central Texas. It sat above my fireplace for many years, but just recently had to downsize and no longer have room for it.

WWII WD320II 1930s see radiomuseum.org. This model of radio was manufactured between 1933 and 1935 from what I have read.
