I am selling a collection of 10 aircraft instruments dating from World War 1 through to World War 2, some of which are very rare. I will only sell as a complete group and preferably local pick-up. The group includes the following:
1) WW1 Chronometric "Type A" Aviation Section Signal Corps U.S. Army tachometer from a De Havilland DH4 manufactured by the National Cash Register Company in Dayton Ohio. This instrument was used in a US built variant of the DH4.
2) Rare WW1 Zenith 0 to 3000 meters altimeter with original box.
3) WW1 Tycos "Type C" Aviation Section Signal Corps U.S. Army altimeter. This altimeter would have been used in aircraft like the Curtis Jenny and early US military aircraft.
4) Very rare WW1 "Air Compass Type B" manufactured by General Electric Company. Mostly complete but missing some screws. Original compass card which is in fluid to prevent it drying out. This compass was used in aircraft like the Curtis Jenny and many other WW1 aircraft.
5) Kollsman tachometer most likely from between the wars.
6) Aeromarine tachometer with domed glass probably between the wars.
7) Type C-11 tachometer from WW2 era.
8) Mark 1A Directional Gyro as used by the RAF in aircraft ranging from Spitfire, Hurricane to Lancaster bomber.
9) Two oil pressure gauges most likely from around late 30s to 1940s.
