4130 Chromoly Steel
At the heart of the State 4130 All-Road is a 4130 Chromoly Steel frame and fork. It’s kitted out with rack and fender mounts, two standard bottle cage mounts inside the main triangle, and four bosses and fork crown bosses on each leg, opening up endless options for cargo cages, front racks, and more. It’s ready to carry a full bikepacking load.
This steel framed road bike comes with two wheelsets (normally a $400 upgrade); the first is a commuter-friendly 700cc wheel with 38c size tires, and the second is a 650b size wheel with 1.9 inch knobby gravel tires.
Having both wheelsets is like having 2 bikes in one. If you decide to ride gravel or trails, you can swap out the wheels (which each come equipped with the same gears) in just a couple of minutes. Then, you can put the road wheels back on in no time for your morning commute. It makes an already versatile bike a true do-it-all ride.
Nothing is more comfortable on the road or trail than a steel frame. The frame offers extensive mounting options, including cargo, fender, and bottle cage mounts, with up to five bottle cage mounts and multiple rack and fork crown bosses.
