I've procrastinated long enough with putting this one up for sale. Bought it last year and knew deep down it was just a tad large for me. I typically ride XL frames, but this is a big SOB! I'm 6'1" and just don't quite have the legs. It worked ok as a "gravel" bike as I had intended, but it's just too big for me to truly enjoy. It has a magical ride, but alas, tis not for me.

Willits...where do I start. Hopefully, you already know a bit of the story. If you have a minute, read about it here:

https://www.ibiscycles.com/our-story/history/4-wes-employee-no-1

Wes Williams got his start as Ibis Bicycle's first frame builder. He eventually moved on to start Willits and moved his operation to Austin where this bike was built as part of a small run of frames that Bicycle Sport Shop sold circa 2008/9. I've asked Wes about these and he recalls it was around 100 frames built in 4 standard sizes, this being the biggest.

Standover height is a lofty 34.5 inches. The seat tube measures 21 inches center to center (22.5 center to top). Top tube measured horizontally is 24.25" with the actual top tube length at 23.75". I think this bike would be great for you if you are 6'2" to 6'5". I'm 6'1" and just don't have enough inseam.

This is built with what'd you'd expect for a late 2000's build.
-Deore XT 3x9 (shifters, derailleurs, cassette, and crankset)
-Avid BB7 mechanical discs (180mm F/160mm R) with Avid levers
-RockShox Reba Race Air fork with remote lockout and rebound adjustment
-Salsa Delgado Disc rims laced to Deore XT hubs
-WTB Venture 700x50C setup tubeless
-WTB Rocket V Ti rail saddle
-Raceface seatpost
-Salsa Stem
-Generic 720mm riser bar

The bike has normal scuffs and scrapes, but is in generally very clean condition. Everything works as it should. The fork feels very smooth and holds air with functional lockout (Motion Control damper isn't a full lockout, just firms up the compression).

I will consider reasonable offers, but I am not particularly in a hurry to sell it. I'm more motivated by freeing up a space than getting a few bucks in my pocket. It's not a bike for everybody because it doesn't have all the modern geometry and features of a contemporary mountain bike. This is for someone who understands and appreciates what this is and I'm ok with it taking a while to find that buyer.

I accept cash (of course) and Paypal F&F, Venmo, or Zelle payments in person only. This is going to be too big to ship at a reasonable cost. You must pick up. I am located in Georgetown, TX.
