Although it is registered as a 260, it is actually the more rare and longer version, a Stinger 280, measuring 27'7" from nose to stern. The twin on board Mercruiser Motors have the original ID plates that show 260 HP each. But when I took this on trade, the previous owner told me that the engines had been upgraded to twin 383 Stroker engines which would mean that they have between 450 and 500 horsepower each. I am personally not very savvy on boat engines, but the research that I've done online indicates that it is common for the longer length Stinger 280s to have upgraded motors. Below is info I picked up online as to the differences between the 260 and the 280 models.
It comes with a Chris Craft trailer, a large rear bench seat, swim platform, and the large sun bed over the two Motors. Can easily fire up the motors so you can hear them run. Or can send you a video of them running. Leather is in pretty good condition with the light and dark blue interior pattern. The V birth upholstery is in decent condition. It is missing one of two cushions that cover the motors and the bottom section of the front left seat.
I took this on a trade for a truck I owned, and I've never taken it out on the water. I'm just not a boat person I guess, and I've never made time for it. The previous owner never gave me the title, however I can show proof that it's not a stolen boat or anything like that. And there is a way to get a title. It was registered up until I acquired it in 2000.
