Testing the waters to see if anyone is interested in taking over this restoration project before I complete it myself.
This boat was purchased as a neglected project and has undergone extensive restoration work already. A significant amount of labor, materials, and money have been invested to bring it back to life.
Completed so far:
• Clean Texas title in my name
• Carpet installed
• Deck painted and refreshed (prior to installing carpet)
• DA Polished and Waxed the exterior
• Upholstery completed (85%)
• Interior hardware and fasteners organized and labeled (as screws)
• Engine runs and has been tested (engine was apparently swapped already with a Chevy small block V8)
• Compression numbers available for all cylinders
• Video available of engine running
• Extensive documentation of work performed
• Spreadsheet available showing approximately $3,000 invested (plus purchase price, title, registration, taxes, and many hours of labor)
• Fuel Gauge Float replaced, Spark Plugs changed, Oil and filter Changed, fuel/water separator replaced,
• Tower connection reinforced with fiberglass and wood.
But wait - there's more!
Comes with old upholstery, partial rear deck and rear seat build, two west marine captain folding chairs, the original chair's components, trailer, life jackets, pontoons, and other various accessories. I also have two 3d printed 6.5 tower speakers I'll throw in for you!
Still needs:
• Final reassembly of some interior components
• Shifter reassembly/adjustment
• Final wiring cleanup and finishing touches
• General project completion and lake testing
- suggest a new impeller as well!
This would be an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys boat restoration and wants to skip much of the dirty, expensive work that has already been completed.
The boat is being sold as a project and is not currently represented as water-ready. I would be happy to provide photos, videos, compression test results, and additional details to serious buyers.
I am not desperate to sell and may continue the restoration if the right buyer does not come along.
