This is the stiction edition. I recently contacted Fox about the issue. The guy told me to lube it. I got online, turns out everyone and their chimp is experiencing the same issue. The post rises to about 160 mm and stops sometimes. Just sometimes. If all you need is a 160 mm dropper then, this post will be perfect for you just the way it is. While still pressing the remote, you can free it from sticking and it will go up the rest of the way. Some people loosen the collar to add SRAM butter or slick honey or Vaseline (it's all the same stuff, different odor and reputation). You'll find a few YouTube shorts demonstrating this. Some people rub a little mineral oil on the inner shaft before each ride. It's definitely a conversation starter. Your friends may ask why and you can tell them, because it's Fox, one of the best brands out there, duh. I'm not interested in doing that so after saving 15% on my car insurance for some time, I purchased a new post.

$100 and this gorgeous trophy dropper can be yours. She doesn't cook or clean but she looks good. Just like all the other expensive droppers, Fox doesn't provide a remote. I used my old one so you'll have to purchase a new one but, they start at around 15 bucks or so on Amazon. The better ones are around 50 bucks and have a popular name on them like fox or something. Maybe a little more than 50. Or you can go on AliExpress dot com and they'll pay you to accept one of theirs. I guess. Everything is questionably cheap via Alibaba.
