This is a beautiful Omega Automatic, Reference 2438-1 made in 1947.
This watch contains a "bumper" caliber 351 movement and runs pretty accurately considering the movements age. The movement also has a 42 hour power reserve and runs at 17 jewels.
The case construction is GOLD CAPPED, meaning there is a layer of 0.2mm gold surrounding the case which is 14k gold
