Topic: VPNs & Hot Spots: We'll show you how to set up a Virtual Private Network which safely connects your laptop to your home computer through the public wifi networks at libraries, coffee shops, airports and hotels. We’ll also show you how to set up a Hot Spot to allow nearby wifi devices like laptops and tablets to access the internet through your cell phone connection. If time allows he will cover other important issues of computer security.


Time and Place: The Beginners' SIG meets every 2nd Saturday of the month, from 10am to noon. We meet at the Old Quarry Library at 7051 Village Center Dr. Directions: From MoPac (Loop 1) take the Far West Blvd. exit, (it's 2 miles south of US-183) and go west 4/10ths mile to the 2nd light.
