12" Boy Doll from Belgium. Date 1945 and Belgium written on bottom of wooden shoes. Head is hard (plaster, I think) as is his hat. Body is cloth. Clothing has small holes worn in fabric. Feet are only pegs with wooden shoes attached. I cannot determine damage but I hear a rattle from his head. One cloth hand is attached to side by thread. Other hand is loose from side but may have been sewn attached originally. $20.
10" Cone Body doll with Russian dress and Head piece. Dress is of heavy brocade, well-stitched with fur trimming around the sleeves. Beautifully painted face and delicate molded hands. Underneath dress is slip with lace around bottom. This doll came from a collection of dolls marked 1945, however, there is no marking on this doll. $15.
