Job Title: Operations Manager for Independent Contractor Courier Delivery Model
Job Summary:
Our company is seeking a talented and experienced Operations Manager with a thorough understanding of the independent contractor/owner operator courier model. The Operations Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline operational costs and improve our customers’ experience. As the Operations Manager, you will exercise judgment and determine the best course of action within our defined practices and procedures. This role is an integral part of our corporate office located in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain a deep understanding of the independent contractor/owner operator courier delivery model.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operational costs and improve customer experience.
• Exercise judgment to determine the best course of action within defined procedures and practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational improvements.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive performance improvements.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, customers, and vendors.
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the independent contractor/owner operator courier delivery model.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure the highest level of service to our customers.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business or logistics preferred but not required based on experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management focusing on the courier, final mile, and/or the logistics industry.
• Thorough understanding of the independent contractor/owner operator courier model.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships.
• Experience in developing/implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective business operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a bonus plan based on performance and company profitability. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
