Assisitant Manager
Are you a reliable and hardworking individual with mechanical skills and a willingness to get your hands dirty? Landmark Nurseries is looking for an assistant Manager! In this role, you'll be responsible for keeping our employees safe while efficiently selling plants to our customers and various distribution facilities.
Responsibilities:
o Oversee nursery operations under the Distribution Manager and be able to fill in when the Manager is off site.
o Assist in loading and unloading plants/materials with care to prevent damage to any vehicles and products.
o Possess a team player attitude with a willingness to fill in where it is needed on the nursery grounds.
o Ensure customer satisfaction with excellent customer service
o Instruct personnel while following directions from leadership with an open mind.
o Maintain accurate delivery logs, help with routing deliveries and obtain necessary signatures for all products coming in and out of the facility
o Perform various manual labor tasks, which may include but not limited to watering plants, potting, weeding, organizing inventory, preparing orders, and general nursery upkeep.
o Ability to operate basic nursery tools and equipment safely while closely observing equipment for preventative maintenance.
Qualifications:
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
• Require the ability to respond to client inquires in Spanish and English, both verbal and written.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and the ability to grasp company software.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects repetitively throughout the day.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proven experience as a manager is highly favored.
• Plant knowledge is a plus, but not necessary.
