The TL;DR: Saab 9-2x Linear 5MT in Desert Silver Metallic with about 145,600 miles - transmission & a/c need repairs. 2nd owner for 19 years. Lots of older Subaru upkeep maintenance done over the past 16k miles (Engine head gasket repair, Spark plugs/lines, Timing belt, Front CV joints & axles replaced, brake pads & rotors, some rust prevention painting). Fix the tranny and this'll have a good life for those looking for a winter snow car, or do more GD / GG Impreza mods for a rare wagon setup.
Please read the details in full below and ask me questions. Also have a longer walkthrough video and higher res photos available.
This car is mechanically similar to a Subaru Impreza 2.5TS wagon.

Details:
- Transmission: This is a 5-speed MANUAL Transmission. The issue with it is 95% of the time it's getting into 3rd gear instead of 1st so you need to carefully rev up and slowly clutch in. My guess is the 1st and 2nd gear syncros need to be replaced. You can technically still drive it slowly on level surfaces. Transmission gear oil was recently changed with Subaru High Perf gear oil.
- Engine: Runs strong and head gasket, timing belt, spark plug work was done back in 2020 by an independent subaru specialist in Oregon. Like many older subaru engines it does eat oil - I usually add a quart every 500 miles.
- Bodywork & Paint: The plastic body pieces on the rear (rear trunk garnish, rear spoiler) could use a repainting. I can include a spray can matched to the Desert Silver paint. Lower area of front bumper has had some repainting done. There's also the usual dings for a 20 year old car and a dent in the left side door. See photos or can share more details if needed. UPDATE: Sept. 2025 - Paint touch-up work done on rear bumper and driver's side areas - see photos.
- Rust: This has been a Texas and Washington state car, so not much rust but can take detailed photos if interested. I did apply POR-15 paint to the rear brake backplates along with other rear areas in 2022, along with brake caliper paint.
- Air Conditioner: Doesn't work. Not sure how involved this will be to repair - Clutch seemed to work but would plan for flush/compressor replacement if wanting to fix.
- Tires: Continental Control Contact Tour A/S Plus M+S - they're from late 2019 and have around 17-18k miles on them. Have detailed photos of em if interested.
- CV Joints: Both front axles were replaced in 2020, Rears still holding up fine.
- Extras: A car bra (useful for road trips, only used once and in like new condition), Tire chains (never used, just kept for legal requirement in some mountain areas), Bluetooth stereo & cubby.
- Roof Rails: This has the Subaru WRX wagon roof rail swap! Optionally for sale are Thule square crossbars/mounts and a Thule hull-a-port kayak carrier (hardly used).
- Records: I have nearly 19 years of service history records scanned. Like other long-term owners, some of the typical maintenance work I did myself but have that documented too.
- Keys: I have both the original keys & keyfobs, along with the valet key. One keyfob is fairly worn but works and has a 3d-printed replacement back, the other is fairly close to original condition and kept as a backup.

"Why sell the car with transmission issues?"
A lot of people interested in older Subaru's like these like to DIY repairs, so I decided to leave options open for enthusiasts & home mechanics looking for a project car. Happy to arrange getting the transmission fixed by a nearby mechanic as well if interested.
