2015 Nissan LEAF - perfect Austin city car for someone with low daily mileage needs.
We have loved every mile of driving the LEAF. Smooth, spirited, quiet and confident. There are cosmetic issues on the front end where a trailer backed into us at a car wash, and a separate bump on the rear bumper cover. Primary consideration for owning a 2015 Nissan LEAF is that the range is now 50 miles tops between charges. Fortunately, with the use of a regular 110v outlet you can leave each morning with a full charge and have a variety of opportunities to get some recharge along the way at the 1,400+ Chargepoint Level 2 charging locations in Austin. We have always done our home charging with a regular 110v plug (240v Level 2 charger also works), and this fills the battery up overnight. If you are like us and either have a 2nd car for longer trips or have a low-mileage life (grocery, stores, social outings, to/from work, etc.) this could be the perfect car for you. If you haven't lived with an EV before, you not only get inexpensive electric "fuel", you also don't have to bother with oil changes, transmission fluid, oxygen sensors, and hundreds of other complex parts that are in gas powered vehicles. AC is cold, bluetooth phone connection works, stereo is great, seats are in decent condition given its age (no tearing), and hatchback design has a surprising capacity (we have been known to throw one of our bikes, or our kayak in there).
As you would expect, the vehicle is sold as-is and price excludes government taxes and fees.
