2008 BMW 328xi, 6-speed manual transmission, double hump dashboard with i-drive. 172,511k miles. It is my daily driver so will go up. I'd say, overall, the car is 6.5/10.
Pros:
Rare 6-speed manual transmission
Car spent it's life in California, before I had it shipped to Texas- so no rust.
Sport Package
Ski Package
Comfort Package
Xenon Headlights
Fresh tint all around
Literally brand new tires (1k value) and upgraded wheels, bc I had every intention of keeping her, all new TPMS
Will include Thule crossbars
Will include aftermarket Bluetooth carplay device
All windows work great
No leaks at the sunroof, and it functions properly
Back window at hatch works
3/4 struts are Bilstein (I didn't do this and I don't know why it's not all 4 😂)
Replaced passenger door handle so it's not sticky
Brakes and rotors are good
Clutch is good
Transmission good
Engine good
Recent Work, I have receipts:
Right rear axle assembly replaced
Right rear suspension knuckle replaced
Sealed transfer case
Replaced rear propeller flex disc
Replaced cooling fan/condenser
Replaced radiator/hoses
Replaced valve cover gasket
Replaced VVT shaft sensor
Cons:
Both bumpers show a bit of wear, and a few of the left front clips are broken so bumper hangs slightly low. Was going to upgrade to LCI bumper so I didn't care much.
Headlamp washers don't work
There are a few (like, 5 or 6) hail dings. I didn't even notice them for a few months after getting the car. Pretty minor.
The adaptive headlights went out, and so there is a warning that stays on the dash about it.
The brake sensor is faulty so we disabled it.
Needs crankshaft position sensor
Steering is tight
Selling because even though I am an enthusiast, spent almost a year searching for this car, and love it, I am NOT a mechanic and I have to just be honest with myself, that it needs to be with someone who is more mechanically inclined. I just don't have the patience anymore and my husband is tired of hearing me talk about it.
Knowing what these go for in top condition, and having searched for almost a year and knows the range, I do think it is priced fairly at $9500, but am open to offers.
