Responsibilities:
-Support the lead teacher in creating and maintaining a prepared Montessori environment
-Assist children with daily activities, including practical life skills, self-care, and transitions
-Observe children's development and support individualized learning
-Help prepare and organize Montessori materials and classroom activities
-Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times
-Foster independence, respect, and a love of learning in each child
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom environment
-Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators
-Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
-Support children's social-emotional development and conflict resolution
- Caring for children ages 18 months-6 years
- HOURS 9:00 A.M.- 6:00 P.M. (1 hour lunch break)
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Genuine love for working with young children
-Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
-Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Physical ability to lift children and materials as needed
-CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
-Pass background check and health screening
Preferred:
-Previous experience working with children ages 18 months- 3 years
-Familiarity with Montessori philosophy and methodology
-Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) a plus
