These are a rare 1950s-60s 'Dealer Custom' build from the legendary Audio Center in Houston, TX. The internal components were bought as a kit directly from Klipsch in the early 60s, then were directly installed into these custom built shorthorn-style cabinets by Audio Center, as was done by a number of other high-end distributors in that era.
They utilize the authentic Klipsch Shorthorn Model T drive kit (K-77, K-55-V, K-22, Type 2R Crossover) professionally installed in custom solid oak cabinetry—a material upgrade over the factory plywood. They feature the rare back-loaded folded horn design for superior bass response compared to the Klipsch Heresy I.
These share the same legendary driver loadout as the Klipsch Heresy I, but with a more complex folded-horn cabinet that provides the bass extension the Heresy often lacks. They make for incredible listening speakers, and sound pristine.
Cosmetically they are in 8.5/10 condition, with a few minor surface blemishes, but are structurally sound and completely free of any cracks or other damage. All internal components and drivers are stock, mint, and function flawlessly.
Sonically, they are very stunning and detailed like you would expect from any higher end Heritage Klipsch. These are no doubt vintage endgame speakers.
