The Alamo Drafthouse is a place For Movie Lovers, By Movie Lovers.
At Alamo Drafthouse, our passion is to ensure every GUEST has an AWESOME experience and is EXCITED to come back. Our runners are the key element to providing our guests with a magical full-service experience. The food runner team serve as a connection between our front of house guest experience and our inner workings behind the velvet red curtains. Like ninjas in a dark theater, they ensure the food looks as beautiful as the Chef intended and goes out at the right time - delivered directly to our guest's table without being seen. We create a unique cinematic experience by providing a distraction-free environment for movie lovers to enjoy scratch-made dishes, craft beers, cocktails and (of course) movies that won't be found anywhere else--all under one roof! With our theaters consistently full of passionate movie fans and our brand continues to grow nationally, now is the perfect time to start a career at the "Best Theater in America" (Entertainment Weekly).
If you love movies, being surrounded by delicious food, quality spirits, and enjoy making people happy, then you may be ready to join our diverse team at Alamo Drafthouse! We offer great benefits for our team members such as employee-exclusive events, competitive pay, paid time off, and more.
To be a member of our runner team; you take pride in delivering exceptional guest service while helping us preserve a distraction-free and exciting, movie-watching environment. A successful runner will eliminate a lot of stress and discord by communicating information between cooks and servers. They are the final eyes of the kitchen/bar responsible for inspecting all food and drink prior to leaving the kitchen/bar to be received by our guests. During and between shows, the team maintains a clean theater environment. While no two days are alike and we may get really busy; we are a group of people who promote teamwork, encourage a fun work environment, and share common goals of creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Picture yourself as a Food Runner where you would have the opportunity to:
Work with a smile. The vibe you set could make or break the guest experience.
Move like a ninja. Help our guests enjoy the movie by stealthily moving around the darkened theater to accurately deliver food orders - you are a silent warrior. If there is a guest who is being disruptive, inform a manager and the situation will be taken care of.
Work with a team. A clean house is a welcoming place and we want our guests to feel at home while visiting our theater. You'll be responsible for preparing the theaters for guests, cleaning, and keeping the service areas organized.
Be Prepared and ready to learn. This requires you to come on time and be ready to work, bring food to our guests in a timely manner, and are eager to learn new duties to advance your career.
