We are an established event staffing agency seeking an experienced prep cook to help a busy catering client prepare for events in their downtown catering kitchen on Wednesday and Thursday. This gig will lead to additional opportunities for the right candidate.
Position: Prep Cook (Temp) - staff will prepare food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. Must safely handle knives and equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, etc.
Schedule: Wednesday, January 23 from 10am-6pm and Thursday, January 24 from 7am-3pm (must work both shifts)
Uniform: Chef pants and black or white chef coat, nonslip shoes.
Pay: $15.00 per hour (paid on Friday, February 1 via direct deposit or pay card)
Must have a current food safety certification.
Must have experience as a cook.
Must have knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Must be able to furnish 2 valid forms of ID per form I-9 specifications.
