If you're looking to grow and lead and make great money, this is a great opportunity. Poke-Poke brought modern poke to the mainland 8 years ago. Trish and Jason (The husband/wife ownership team) shifted focus (and homes) to Austin to organically expand the Poke-Poke brand.
At Poke-Poke our staff is cross trained to make poke, run the back of the house as well as the front of house. We share tips across the board and run small shifts ensuring a high average tip pay-out. Working at Poke-Poke guarantees you the opportunity to grow with our company. We call our employees Poke Masters, as they are the masters of the shop and are expected to own responsibility for shift operations. We keep our staff small, promote quickly and expect each employee to go above-and beyond.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
-Delivering Above and Beyond customer service with a SMILE - Being friendly and personable is a must-have to be considered for advancement at Poke-Poke
-Prepping all protein and veg for the day
-Preparing and maintaining the front of house for service
-Working the register, educating and up-selling customers on our brand and product
-Maintaining the back of the house, ensuring poke-makers are fully stocked, cleaning dishes and keeping prep up to par.
-Maintaining clean and functional dining room to maximize guest enjoyment
Candidate Qualities Must Include:
-Front and Back of House experience in quick service is a plus
-Can-do attitude with willingness to go above and beyond to support your team and the business
-Experience in prepping, line work and front of house preferred
-Interest in moving into management preferred
-Positive attitude a MUST - We're known for being friendly :)
-Food handler certification (TABC not required for North Austin, but required for DT and South)
