The Ergatta water rower is a rowing machine made by a company called Water Rower, so you know it’s legit.
This is the “Lite” model which is a little more compact and lighter than the more expensive model, but still totally solid. Comes with all the accessories in the “lite bundle” here: https://ergatta.com/products/ergatta-lite-core
Features:
• Mat to protect your floor
• Gloves to protect your hands
• Big pretty display for playing their games
• Conditioning oil and cloth (for the wood, not the human, but hey, you do you)
• Pump-action siphon for changing the water
• Original manual
• Water (it’s yours if you want it but I recommend fresh)
From the photos you can see that it fits nicely in compact spaces. In the upright position it makes a nice modern sculpture and also gets out of your way.
I was skeptical about their video games that tie into your cadence and speed, but they’re actually really fun and motivational. They’re also totally optional. The screen gives you all the standard pacing data if you want to skip the subscription.
The games let you compete against other folks around the Ergatta cinematic universe, but if that’s not your thing, they have training programs that will give you an optimal workout for your fitness level. There’s more to it than just yanking that handle over and over! (Although that is technically a workout.)
In my opinion the Ergatta with its dual tracks is more stable than the kind that have one central track.
Casters that actually work make it easy to roll this baby into another room.
And to make transport easier, I can:
• disassemble it
• partially disassemble it
• what the heck, I can just bring it in my truck (must be a reasonable distance from central Austin)
