LED horticulture lighting are great for those growing inside a home or greenhouse, not recommended outside unless you keep water intrusion from entering through the cooling vents. They can be used as a single source grow light and or in conjunction with artificial or natural lighting. They work well with many types of plants; eg: Kalanchoe, Peace lily, Anthurium, Amaryllis, Orchids, African Violets, Christmas cactus, Bromeliads, succulents, veggies and herbs. They also work for seedlings or sprouts due to the UV/IR diodes helping reduce plant disease.

LED horticulture lighting has a far greater plant spectrum than normal white household LED bulbs, the light box is comparable to 6 x 60 watt LED bulbs. Grow box draws 65 watts from the wall (not equivalent, but true wall wattage). The red and blue dominant photons are the most efficient in photosynthesis, adding the UV, IR and white light making these full spectrum plant lights.
