Very Nice GIANT Binocular Setup.. Very sharp, high contrast, WIDE Field Views. Great for ASTRONOMY. I've owned this Vintage set since apx 2006, and all is in excellent condition.
I have mounted these on a fully restored, vintage, HIGH Quality Majestic metal mount and tripod, that also has a crank up center post..
The mount also has another crank that controls the tilt, (altitude) of the BINOS, and is VERY Smooth and steady and is a joy to pan around the sky with.
Tripod extends very high and I use this setup standing up.
Comes with a red dot finderscope, and storage case.
Optics are nice.. no haze, fungus, chips or scratches.
I have tested this setup and it has nice, wide field of view, sharp images and HIGH contrast and nice formed star images.Collimation is good.
I am an amateur astronomer myself with almost 50 yrs of experience and have completely tested this setup over several nights, mount and tripod and optics are very nice.
Reconditioned and restored by an experienced optical re-builder.. I've reconditioned over 425 optical units to date with many satisfied customers including NASA contractors and also Healthcare professionals.
