Stained so dark, it is almost black that is what they like. (but can purchase unstained in the raw, or reclaimed wood)

• New wood (unstained) - $50


• New wood (stained) - $55 - THIS USED TO BE THE DEFAULT MODEL AVAILABLE, But now it is made by request


• Reclaimed wood (unstained) - $75 (This is now THE DEFAULT MODEL AVAILABLE. Beautiful old barn wood reclaimed.) Much thicker wood and heavier!


• Reclaimed wood (stained) - $90 (This is so high, because don't think that these should be stained as it would take the beauty away from the old wood, but will do it for this cost. (Hadn't done any yet.))

Note: All Owl Houses come with cedar mulch in the bottom to help the owls nest. Also, have included a photo of an owl that moved into a house, less than 6 weeks after hanging. FYI - This house is in Banister Acres near Redd St. and Ben White. It is 6 ft from the street, 2 ft from the driveway, and 15 steps from the front door. Just goes to show you can hang these in high traffic areas and they will move in. Now, this owl can be seen perched in this house during the day and evening times. Cheaper than you will find at Natural Gardner or other places and it is locally custom built and supporting the local economy, Keep Austin Owled!

base - around 5.5" x 7" height - around 32" opening - around 10" I am near Dripping Springs, but could meet in Oak Hill or the Domain daily. Best if hung vertical (leveled) at least 12 feet off of the ground and facing South, Can meet at my house, near Oak Hill or near The Domain at certain times during the week.

Face them North.
Owls will more than likely find them, if you have them in your area. Barn or screech. Hang in a more open spot so they can spot the house and move in. And so they can have a good runway for takeoffs and landings. These suckers will clean up all rats and mice in your neighborhood! Great little Pest Exterminators!
